The World is Yours: Facer opens up its branding and curation tools to all users

At Facer, it’s always been our vision that the watch face was the most important component of the smartwatch ecosystem and that new brands would emerge to dominate that screen. Our role as a publisher would be to provide the tools to facilitate the emergence of these new players, which explains our early focus on the Facer Creator, our free watch face creation tool.

Today, we’re excited to be going a step further and are announcing a major update to the Facer platform to provide more tools for creators, curators, and brands to establish themselves in this new watch face space. Let’s dive in!

Custom Profile URLs

Starting today, all users have access to custom profile urls to make their brand more recognizable in the Facer ecosystem, e.g. MVMT’s official profile can be found at https://www.facer.io/u/mvmt

These urls are available on a first-come first serve basis, so if you haven’t claimed yours yet, make sure to update your profile to get the name you want ASAP!

Cover images are also available to all users now to communicate their brand values at a glance when visiting their profile:

Curated watch face collections

Last but not least, our biggest change to the platform is the introduction of tools to allow any Facer user to create, curate, and share collections of watch faces.

These new tools can be used to create your own branded collection of watch faces like Waldhoff’s, or simply to curate watch faces around a topic or theme in Facer, for instance the “best faces for the Samsung Gear S3”.

We can’t wait to see the collections you’re going to create! The best ones will be showcased weekly by our editorial team in the Featured section of Facer and seen by hundreds of thousands of users. Here are a few collections created by some of our partners and top designers:
