Introducing Watch Face Games!

The Facer team and its community are excited to be introducing the first watch face games for smartwatches!

Unlike traditional mobile games which need to be actively launched by the player, watch face games are continuously active on the user’s wrist and can be interacted with at any point in the day. No need to dig your phone out of your pocket, no need to launch an app — the experience is always there, living on your wrist, just a glance away. We call this “ambient gaming”.

In addition to their immediate and persistent accessibility, a new dimension brought by these watch face games is their natural integration with the smartwatch’s various sensors. This includes step counter, heart rate measurements, user location, real time weather, and in a broader sense any “real-world” data that is typically surfaced by your smartwatch on your watch face. This new paradigm allows for tamagotchi-like games directly connected to your own vitals, story-driven games influenced by the weather, and much more!

Your Beast Friend:

Feed a little creature living on your wrist by catching bugs appearing randomly on the watch face when you check the time. The more you feed the Beast, the more it grows and evolves. How big can you make it grow?

DINO CATCHER

Help your favorite Dino find her lost family of Dinos! Each of her Dinos is lost in a different area of the world and you’ll only be able to get there by traveling through it, which happens by increasing your step count. So get off the couch, and and get to work — your Dino friends need you!

WORLD CUP Shootout!

Just in time for the World Cup finals! Pick your team, run towards the goal and shoot to score the most goals in under 2 hours. Want to have more chances to score? Go for a run! When we detect an elevated heart rate, you’ll be able to collect a sprint bonus and see your player rush towards the goal.

Rock, Paper, Scissors

A fresh take on the classic Rock, Paper, Scissors — every glance at your watch face is a chance to play the game and increase your score. The higher your score is, the more features on the watch face are unlocked — color customization, fun animations, and more!
