This partnership transforms the wearables ecosystem, turning RTOS watches into software-defined smartwatches and leveraging the largest watch faces catalog.

Los Angeles, November 30, 2023 — Facer, the world’s largest watch face platform for smartwatches, and MicroEJ, the leading provider of IoT device app containers, today announced their collaboration to bring Facer’s extensive catalog of over 500,000 watch faces from top brands such as Barbie, Hot Wheels, Atari, US Air Force, Street Fighter, Frida Kahlo, and thousands of independent designers to RTOS watches.

This exclusive partnership aims to enhance low-power RTOS watches by enabling them to access Facer’s thriving ecosystem of watch faces, offering customers the same endless customization possibilities they enjoy today on other platforms already compatible with Facer like WearOS by Google, or watchOS by Apple. In addition to making most of its catalog of faces compatible with RTOS watches, this partnership will also enable watch face designers to broaden their reach by distributing their content to even more smartwatch users via Facer’s cutting edge design and publishing tool, the Facer Creator. The first RTOS watches compatible with Facer are expected to be released in 2024.
