Tell us about yourself!
My name is Paula Bacchetta, also known as Paula Design. I was born in Argentina and I am a fashion designer.

Art has always been my driving force: I find inspiration in visiting museums, reading design books, listening to music, and observing the small details of the world around me.
I’ve been working with Facer for four years, and during this time I discovered a wonderful way to combine my three greatest passions: art, fashion, and technology. I deeply enjoy creating watch faces full of color, joy, and personality — designs that accompany every moment of the day and reflect the individuality of the person wearing them.
My goal is simple yet powerful: to create designs that inspire, move, and connect with each person’s style and mood. I’ve always been fascinated by fashion and accessories. I believe a digital watch is not just a functional device, but also a personal expression of who we are. Designing watch faces allows me to give users the ability to personalize an everyday object and transform it into something truly unique.

What sparked your interest in watch face design, and how did you discover Facer?
Two designer friends on the platform told me they were creating for Facer, and their experience inspired me to start designing my own watch faces.
At first, I did it purely for passion: I downloaded my creations and used them in my daily life, enjoying the creative process and seeing my ideas come to life on the watch.
After about six months, the company reached out to invite me to join their team of designers. It was a moment of immense happiness and pride — a true reward for the effort, creativity, and love I put into every design.
Which of your watch face designs (or collections) are you most proud of and why?
Among my collections, one of the projects I’m most proud of is “Good Day.”

It was a beautiful challenge: I learned to use the iPad as a professional tool, took courses in illustration and botanical painting, and discovered a new side of my artistic identity. That collection marked a turning point in my career, opening new creative and technical possibilities.

What’s the most challenging watch face you’ve ever worked on, and why?
There isn’t a single watch face that stands out as the biggest challenge; each one is challenging in its own way. They all allow me to keep evolving, adapting my style to trends, and exploring new design approaches.
What inspires your watch face designs? Any recurring themes or influences?
When designing, I’m inspired by color, nature, fashion, and everyday objects. I love observing, reinterpreting, and transforming these shapes and tones into something new, original, and soulful.
Lately, botanical motifs have become a recurring element in my work, as they connect me to harmony, detail, and natural beauty.

What’s your design process like? Any specific tools or habits?
My creative process takes place in a warm, calm, and inspiring space. I put on music, let ideas flow freely, and often start with a hand sketch before moving into the digital environment.
I mainly work with Illustrator, Photoshop, and Fresco, combining all three to achieve a professional finish and a distinctive visual identity.
Are there any designers in the community you love following or find especially inspiring?
I deeply admire designers like JN, EVA, GRR, and BA. Each has a unique style that combines originality and professionalism, constantly motivating me to keep growing.
What’s next for you as a designer?
At Facer, I aim to continue growing as a designer, applying my training and exploring new ways to express my creativity. I enjoy conveying ideas through every design, experimenting with different styles, and learning with each project.
My current goal is to keep expanding my artistic skills and apply that knowledge not only to watch face design but also to textile design, exploring techniques like sublimation and transfer.
Anything else you would like to add?
Facer has allowed me to make a living doing what I love, grow professionally, and find balance — enjoying time with my family and friends, and cherishing the quiet moments that also fuel my creativity.
For me, designing watch faces is much more than a job: it’s a form of artistic expression and connection. Every design I create carries that passion, and my hope is that each watch becomes a little work of art for the person who chooses it.
