Known for her colorful, expressive style and artistic approach to watch face design, EVA Design creates vibrant faces that feel personal and full of character. Her work stands out through bold use of color, intentional composition, and a clear appreciation for visual storytelling on the wrist.
In this month’s Designer Stories, we talk with EVA Design about her creative journey, the inspiration she draws from nature, and how she translates those ideas into designs meant to be worn and enjoyed every day. It’s a warm invitation to step inside her creative process, explore her perspective, and discover the passion behind the faces that have caught the community’s eye.
Tell us about yourself!
I’m a History teacher, specializing in Art History. From a very young age, I’ve felt deeply connected to art in all its forms, to its power to move us, tell stories, and reveal beauty through many different languages.

I work with both teenagers in secondary school and with adult learners, and through those exchanges I’m constantly learning. My students are an endless source of creativity, questions, and motivation, and they help keep my perspective curious and open to the world.
I currently live in Buenos Aires, Argentina, although I spent ten years living in Madrid, Spain. There, I worked as a museum guide, an experience that truly shaped my path. I fell in love with artworks, sculptures, monuments, styles, and especially with the colors and atmospheres that live within art.

Beauty, aesthetic sensitivity, and creativity are part of my everyday life. They’re a constant presence, a way of seeing and creating that accompanies me in every project I take on.
What sparked your interest in watch face design, and how did you discover Facer?
Working with history means working with time every day. It’s a familiar concept for me, one that crosses my path constantly and deeply fascinates me. Maybe that’s why a watch has always been much more than a functional object to me. It’s a way of inhabiting time, of carrying it with me.
I first discovered Facer as a user, syncing watch faces by Paula Design and other community partners. That first experience allowed me to explore the creative potential of the format and slowly start imagining my own designs, thinking about how to translate my artistic vision into something everyday and alive.
Very quickly, I felt that this was my place. A space where I could bring together history, design, sensitivity, and technology, and pour all my creativity into time itself. A perfect match.
Which of your watch face designs are you most proud of and why?
Within my celestial-style designs, I have a special connection to Lotus Flowers, a watch face that blends mystical and calming elements with violet tones that convey harmony and good energy. Along the same lines, Lilith, with its golden hues and references to the stars, creates a deeply mystical and symbolic atmosphere.
I’m also especially proud of Boho Garden, a design I personally use a lot. It combines boho style with earthy colors and natural elements, creating an organic connection to simplicity and everyday life.

Odyssey and Dreamy Vibes reflect my brighter, more playful side, with cheerful and vibrant palettes designed to convey movement and positive energy.
On iOS, I’d highlight Stellar for its mystical and elegant aesthetic; Sweet Moon, which represents the beauty and harmony of the moon; Solar Shapes, a colorful and fun design made to lift the vibe; and Color Cat, a sweet and endearing watch face that naturally brings a smile.

What inspires your watch face designs?
My designs grow out of styles and visual languages that are deeply connected to my energy and to who I am. The celestial or mystical style is one of my main sources of inspiration, along with nature, the stars, and the beauty of the cosmos.
I also explore a fresher, more spontaneous side through colorful and playful designs, with chalk and doodle influences. The boho and bohemian style reflects how I understand design as a sensitive, free, and everyday experience.
What’s your design process like? Any specific tools or habits?
My creative process is never the same. It’s fluid and very intuitive. Inspiration often shows up when I’m not actively designing, and I usually write ideas down to develop them later.
I mainly work with Illustrator and, in some cases, Photoshop. I enjoy sharing my designs with friends, family, and the community. User feedback is incredibly valuable to me and plays an important role in my creative growth.
How do you stay inspired when you hit a creative block?
I don’t usually experience creative blocks very often. My connection with art and history is a constant source of inspiration. Visiting museums, walking through places with a strong identity, studying, and paying attention to everyday details all help me gather ideas and sensations that naturally turn into designs.
Are there any designers in the community you love following or find especially inspiring?
I have a deep admiration for Paula Design, whose style inspires me and motivates me to keep growing. I also really appreciate designers like The Fitbit Gal and Linlay Designs, who all bring a feminine and delicate perspective.
BA | Bruno Amadori is another designer I admire for their retro style, originality, and strong sense of character.
What’s next for you as a designer? Any exciting future projects?
I want to keep developing my personal style, exploring new color palettes, and strengthening the connection between art, design, and technology; creating new watch faces that accompany everyday life with sensitivity and beauty.
Anything else you would like to add?
Yes. I’m truly grateful to be part of the Facer community, which gave me the opportunity to express myself artistically. I deeply value the talent of my fellow partners and the creative richness of the community, which is a constant source of support and motivation for my work.
On a personal level, watch face design is a space of joy and connection with myself and with a wonderful community of users, where my passions for art, time, and aesthetic sensitivity come together.
